Makos Motorsports pilots Julius and Matteus Makos both participated in the second round of the Brian Stewart Racing Karting Championship (BSRKC). With podium finishes for both drivers in round 1, they were looking to repeat their performance in Round 2 being held in Leamington Ontario.

Both pilots practices all day Friday to prepare themselves for the weekend's race events, while Julius was to participate once again in the Junior Medium and Mini-max classes on Saturday followed by Junior Heavy on Sunday, the younger Makos, Matteus was once again back in Micro-max on Saturday followed by Novice on Sunday.

As the team struggled to get Julius' kart set up right, his results showed as he struggled to an 11th place finish in the Junior Medium, followed by a 9th place finish in Mini-max. The team working to get back on track late into Saturday night for Sunday's Junior Heavy race, Julius qualified a strong P6 from a field of 32 drivers. Pre-final starting in P6 Julius drove a solid race as he ended the pre-final in P4. As his confidence was on the rise, he prepared for the 20 lap final and finished off the day in P5 which was a great job considering Saturday's results.

Makos Motorsports youngest pilot Matteus was also looking for a repeat podium finish as he had at BSRKC Round #1, P2 was to be repeated 3 times in the Micro-max class which was raced on Saturday -- qualifying P2, Pre-final P2 and finishing up the final in the same position. Valuable experience was gained once again as he will be looking forward to stepping to the top of the podium at BSRKC Round #3. Saturday's results were repeated 3 times once again on Sunday in the Novice class. This time Matteus qualified P1 and repeated the same in the Pre-final and final to rise to the top of the podium once again as he had in Round #1.

Both drivers will be back on the track this weekend, June 7, with the Toronto Kart Club at Goodwood Kartways, and then travelling to Sutton on June 8 for Simcoe Kart Club's Race #5.
